Which Non Ferrorus Scrap Metal Prices Rule The Recycling Industry?

The cost of metal extraction is increasing rapidly, mainly because the mineral deposits are reducing drastically. The demand for the metal is increasing as the population grows. This is one reason, why people started metal recycling. The process helps in extracting metals at low cost, which is as good as virgin metal and could fetch good money as ferrous and non ferrous scrap metal prices are on the rise.
The most common and valuable metals that are extracted from scrap include:
  • Aluminium: This white metal has many applications, both in houses and commercial use as well. Aluminium cans generally bought in the form of soda cans and food tins could be recycled and reused in a matter of months. Almost eighty per cent of the metal can be recycled and reused.
  • Copper: This yellow metal is highly popular among scrap dealers and is capable of fetching a good price. Good condition copper can be used for pipes, wires and in air conditioning units.
  • Brass: This most commonly available metal can be used for door handles, light fixtures, keys, plumbing fittings etc. the metal can be recycled repeatedly, without compromising on the quality.
The professional in this field would be able to segregate the metals and then purify them. Most units do not handle the melting process, which is done at very few centres.
